Major: Computer Science
Minor: Mathematics
I am passionate about exploring the intersect of computing theory and application. My current research involves generating sets of DNA strands that can simulate any given Turing machine (see Turing Machine Slat Generator and Algorithmic Self-Assembly). As part of this research, I participated in an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates under Dr. Matthew Patitz at the University of Arkansas. I also have experience implementing experimental privacy-preserving machine learning techniques from my research under Dr. Justin Zhan (University of Cincinnati). Finally, I love Android application development, and I am constantly trying to improve those skills. You can find some of my other software projects on my GitHub or connect with me on LinkedIn.
My responsibilities for the GateMate project will mostly involve designing and developing the mobile application. I am excited to learn an entirely new framework (React Native) and hope to make a real impact with our work!
