Guadalupe Torres
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Arkansas along with a minor in Mathematics.
I have two summer experiences in IT. In the summer of 2018, I interned for Tyson Foods in Fayetteville, Ar, where I was responsible for visualizing data of water usage, and other defective assets. These applications were used to optimize processes, and solve problems in the poultry plants. During my internship, I also received training for Agile, and AWS Cloud Computing. In the summer of 2019, I interned with Phillips 66 in Bartlesville, Ok, where I was responsible for converting outdated DCS graphics to a web-based application called PIVision. After graduation, I will be working for Dow in Midland, MI, in their IS department to utilize my technical and leadership skills I have developed while I have been at the U of A.
