Carson Molder

Molder is a senior computer engineering major at the University of Arkansas.

Molder is taking Capstone this academic year, working on the NASA Robotic Mining Challenge project with Razorbotz. His focus on the project is developing the autonomy features that revolve around computer vision, including the identification of rocks and obstacles on the Moon.

Career Plan

After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Molder plans to pursue a PhD in computer science (or related field) so he can research novel machine learning architectures for optimizing computer systems. In this research, he wants to help accelerate programs on computers and overcome the recent decline of Moore’s law. Ultimately, Molder wants to help create computer systems powerful and efficient enough to realize futuristic technologies like brain-computer interfaces and self-driving vehicles.
